New 2022 License Structure, Support, and Composer Changes

Contents

TypeRocket remains the complete WordPress framework. TypeRocket still offers the most comprehensive developer experience and saves hours of coding time. Today, we want to let you know about our new license structure.

First, we have decided to give everyone composer access. Further, we have streamlined support by moving to Discord (previously Slack and some with email). Here is the new structure:

  • The Single plan remains $59 for 1 website but now adds composer.
  • The Plus plan remains $159 for 5 websites with composer.
  • The Max plan remains $259 for 10 websites with composer.
  • The Unlimited plan remains $459 for unlimited websites with composer.

Finally, support has moved for all plans, and Open users, to Discord.

Important: The old composer Pro repositories server shut down on January 1st, 2023.

Why Composer Access Changes?

Until recently, we have been offering composer access to anyone on the Plus plan or greater. This limitation was due to the cost of our private repository hosting for the Pro composer packages. However, we implemented a satis server to reduce our costs and make it possible to offer composer to everyone.

To complete the move, we will shut down all the old composer Pro repository servers on January 1st, 2023. We encourage everyone to migrate to the new repositories as soon as possible. You can read about the full repository install and authentication process in the documentation. Or, you can add the new repository by running this composer command (be sure to remove your old TypeRocker Pro repository).

composer config repositories.professional '{"type": "composer","url": "https://satis.typerocket.com","only": ["typerocket/professional"]}'

Note: You will be required to enter your website domain and licesne key when running composer update when downloading typerocket/professional. If the authentication hangs your license is invailed.

Why Discord?

We are moving away from Slack, though it has treated us well for the last few years. Recent Slack policy changes make Discord a better fit for TypeRocket to provide community support.
